Melissa Petridis' passion for teaching began when eight years ago, she enrolled her oldest child into a Montessori program, simply for socialization. What ensued was the blossoming of a child from a program so inspiring, it motivated her to pursue a career in education. Melissa went on to graduate with honours and become a MACTE Accredited Montessori Teacher. Her vision in combining a Montessori program with an accelerated curriculum in Language and Math, came to fruition upon opening East York Montessori School. Melissa's natural ability to challenge a child's capabilities has proven successful and influenced many teachers. Her focus continues to be nurturing the wholeness of the child - emotionally, socially and academically.
