SENSORIAL

CASA: The teaching of the senses through materials allows for the child to identify, isolate and group the impressions that have been made by their senses. These carefully designed materials facilitate the development of each separate sense through the child’s hands-on exploration. The child will analyze, separate and classify information to create order and heighten awareness of their environment. The children internalize concepts such as size, shape, colour, touch and sound.

TODDLER: Sensory activities will assist in the development of the child’s environment. By introducing colours, materials with sand and water, learning differences such as big little or hard/soft and shapes, the child gains a foundation for absorbing a myriad of impressions within their environment.
